Saratoga Technologies Named to Business Tennessee Magazine’s 2006 Fast50 List

Fast50 Johnson City, Tennessee, Friday August 4, 2006 – Saratoga Technologies today announced that it has been identified by Business Tennessee magazine (www.businesstn.com), as a 2006 Fast50 company. Saratoga was the only company from the Tri-Cities that made both the 2005 and 2006 Fast50 List and one of only two Johnson City based companies to make the 2006 list.

Business Tennessee’s third annual look at the 50 fastest growing companies in the Volunteer State and the individuals leading them should be required reading for any businessperson in Tennessee. At a minimum, the list provides a snapshot of some of the firms yielding the job growth and innovations that are making Tennessee’s economy surge.

“We are very proud to be recognized not only for fast growth but consistent growth as well,” said David Temple, president of Saratoga. “Saratoga is committed to becoming the premier technology solutions company in the entire region and we want to thank all of our clients who have helped us achieve this record growth.”

A competitive edge served the company’s on this year’s list in an additional manner—getting them on the list at all. Making the list required standing out in a crowded field—the number of companies nominated this year surpassed the total from the two previous years combined. Clearly, Fast50 status is becoming a much sought after designation and source of pride for companies across Tennessee.

Fast50 nominees must have been in business for at least three years, generate more than $750,000 of revenue, be privately owned and employ five or more people. KraftCPAs, an independent accounting firm with offices in Nashville, Columbia and Lebanon, reviewed nomination information confidentially and tabulated the results.

Saratoga Technologies Named to 2006 Fast-Growth 100 List by CMP Media’s CRN Magazine

Fast Growth 2006Johnson City, TN, July 24, 2006 – Saratoga Technologies today announced that it has been identified by CMP Media’s CRN magazine (www.crn.com), as a 2006 Fast-Growth 100 company. Saratoga was one of only 25 companies that made both the 2005 and 2006 Fast Growth List and one of only three Tennessee companies to make the 2006 list. A total technology solutions concept, coupled with unique financing options, helped propel Saratoga to a two year growth rate of over 91% and rankings of #30 in 2005 and #70 in 2006.

CRN’s Fast-Growth 100 identifies the 100 fastest growing solution providers in the country, across all specialty areas and business models. The profiles and data developed by CRN’s editorial staff provide insights into which models and technologies are proving to be the most successful.

“We are very proud to be recognized not only for fast growth but consistent growth as well,” said David Temple, president of Saratoga. “Saratoga is committed to becoming the premier technology solutions company in the entire region and we want to thank all of our clients who have helped us achieve this record growth.”

“As the channel’s vital resource, CRN is solely focused on the Solution Provider community. This list, created by our editorial team, recognizes the Solution Providers that have worked tirelessly to support their customers. We salute them on their superior growth,” said Dan Dignam, publisher of CRN.

"What makes this list so unique, and compelling, is that it represents such a large cross-section of the channel universe. What's more, this is a dynamic list. While 25 companies that were on CRN's 2005 Fast Growth 100 ranking made the grade again this year, sheer ingenuity and investment savvy propelled 75 new solution providers to growth rates worthy of the final cut."

Saratoga Software (Pty) Ltd. achieves Microsoft Gold Partner status with ISV and Mobility competencies

Cape Town, South Africa (July 5, 2006) - Saratoga Software (Pty) Ltd., (Saratoga Technologies' sister company) today announced it has attained Gold Certified status in the Microsoft Partner Program with a competency in ISV/Software Solutions and Mobility Solutions, recognizing Saratoga’s expertise and impact in the technology marketplace. As a Gold Certified partner, Saratoga has demonstrated expertise with Microsoft technologies and proven their ability to meet customers’ needs. Microsoft Gold Certified Partners receive a rich set of benefits, including access, training and support, giving them a competitive advantage in the marketplace.

As one of the requirements for attaining Gold Certified Status, Saratoga Software had to declare a Microsoft Competency. Microsoft Competencies are designed to help differentiate a partner’s capabilities with specific Microsoft technologies to customers looking for a particular type of solution. Each competency has a unique set of requirements and benefits, formulated to accurately represent the specific skills and services that partners bring to the technology industry.

Competency: ISV / Software Solutions
Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) face a unique set of challenges among Microsoft solution partners. Increasing business needs and ever-changing customer and technology demands all add to the pressure of running a successful software business. Given these market pressures, ISVs need to differentiate themselves and stand out in the marketplace if they want to grow their business. Microsoft Competencies recognize the skill and focus your company brings to a particular solution set. The Microsoft ISV/Software Solutions Competency is designed to provide additional benefits and support to Microsoft Certified Partners and Gold Certified Partners that specialize in developing and marketing packaged software solutions based on Microsoft technologies. Enroll in the ISV/Software Solutions Competency and gain access to a multitude of resources that will help you: Build Better Products: Identify market trends using online market research to help you plan your business and develop targeted solutions for your customers. And, get additional MSDN software, internal business use licenses, technical training, architectural guidance, and more to get your applications developed and tested on the Microsoft platform. Enhance Market Presence: Promote your expertise to customers and increase market access by associating your company with the Microsoft brand. Also receive priority listings in Microsoft partner directories, qualify for participation in technical enablement, marketing and sales initiatives for ISVs, and more. Drive Profit and Growth: Promote your solutions, collaborate with other partners, and expand into new markets with online tools and events. Also gain the opportunity to co-market your solutions with Microsoft.

Competency: Mobility Solutions
The Mobility Solutions Competency is designed for system integrators, resellers, developers and ISVs who provide solutions that enable customers to access information on the go. This helps increase employee productivity and customer response rates while reducing business cycles and costs. With Microsoft Windows Mobile software, data can be captured quickly and accurately and processed to a business system more rapidly than with paper-based approaches. In addition, multiple devices such as walkie-talkies, pagers, mobile phones and PDAs can be converged into one multi-functioning Windows Mobile-based Pocket PC or Smartphone. The Mobility Solutions Competency represents Windows Mobile software for Pocket PCs, for Pocket PC Phone Edition and for Smartphones, providing a complete Mobility Solutions platform. With Windows Mobile software, developers in your organization can use existing PCs and Microsoft .NET programming skills to create robust Line of Business (LOB) applications. Your IT professionals will be able to apply security and systems management policies and procedures while extending existing systems in a manageable, scalable manner.

About The Microsoft Partner Program
The Microsoft Partner Program was launched in December 2003 and represents Microsoft’s ongoing commitment to the success of partners worldwide. Johnson City, Tennessee, Friday May 12, 2006—Saratoga Technologies, Inc. was today ranked #6 in BusinessTN’s Top 20 Best Employers in Tennessee List. Saratoga was the only company from the Tri-Cities to make the list.

“We are thrilled just to be on the list, but to be ranked so high is truly an honor”, said Saratoga president, David Temple. We take seriously our obligation to our staff and we think it is very important to provide an environment that is family friendly and rewards hard work and loyalty.

Each year, the Best Companies Group examines Tennessee businesses and evaluates them to determine which ones stand out as the best employers.

The winners are picked based on factors such as salaries, personal benefits, tenure of CEOs and much more. “These twenty companies cover a broad spectrum of the business world—but the one common characteristic that they all possess is the outstanding way they treat their employees,” said Chris Stovall, publisher of Business Tennessee magazine. “A company that strives for a positive work environment deserves to be recognized; in addition to the real difference it makes to their bottom-lines and to the retention of their best employees.”

Saratoga Technologies and Data Archives partner to enable small business to benefit from enterprise level off-site storage

Johnson City, TN—January 25, 2006— Saratoga Technologies, Inc. (www.saratogaus.com)  and Data Archives Records Management, LLC (www.dataarchivesus.com) today announced a strategic partnership that builds on the off-site data storage capability of Data Archives and the SMB market share that Saratoga has built over the past 4 years. Data Archives currently offers off-site, secure data storage to enterprise level customers but doesn’t specifically cater to small business. This partnership opens the door for hundreds of smaller organizations to benefit from the same secure protection services that enterprise level companies have for years.

With the partnership, both companies will work together to integrate the features and functionality of the Data Archives storage service into the customer base of Saratoga.  "Our relationship with Data Archives provides a wonderful opportunity for our clients to have additional security measures put in place for their critical data," said Jamie Snapp, senior engineer, Saratoga. "This partnership will enable Saratoga to expand its ability to offer total solutions to its customers."

"Saratoga Technologies is redefining how a technology company helps its customers, and we're excited that Data Archives will have the opportunity to combine its unique storage capability with other offerings that Saratoga provides," said Chris Rorex, president, Data Archives. "Off-site storage is not something that only enterprise sized companies need to worry about anymore, now that data capacities are huge a single tape could contain years of valuable data and what most people don’t realize is that the number one reason people suffer from data loss is not from hardware failure but employee negligence or malice."
