Saratoga Technologies named as one of the best employers in Tennessee for a second straight year
Johnson City, TN (January 31st, 2007) - Saratoga Technologies was recently named as one of the Best Employers in Tennessee for the second year in a row. This third annual program was created by Business Tennessee magazine in partnership with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) – Tennessee State Council, the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Best Companies Group.
This survey and award program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Tennessee, benefiting the state's economy, its workforce and businesses. The Best Employers in Tennessee program is made up of 25 companies split into two groups: 15 small/medium-sized companies (25-249 employees) and 10 large-sized companies (more than 250 employees). Saratoga Technologies has been named one of the Best Employers in Tennessee in the small/medium category.
“I credit our phenomenal staff entirely for this achievement", says Saratoga president, David Temple. "Our goal is to build a long-term and successful high tech company in East Tennessee and for that to happen we need to have top quality talent. We are very fortunate to have such highly skilled and dedicated employees and this recognition will only help us to continue to recruit and hire the best."
To be considered for participation, companies had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements:
- Be a for-profit or not-for-profit business;
- Be a publicly or privately held business;
- Have a facility in Tennessee;
- Have at least 25 employees in Tennessee.
Companies from across the state entered the two-part process to determine the Best Employers in Tennessee. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process in Tennessee with assistance from ModernThink LLC, who analyzed the data and used their expertise to determine the final rankings. The names of the 25 Best Employers in Tennessee and how they rank will be published in the May 2007 issue of Business Tennessee magazine.
