Problem:

Extremely high support costs due to having to support hundreds of PCs that were all different makes and models. By not having a standard technology platform there was no way to accurately budget IT expenditures each year. In addition, they also could not support their staff in a timely manner due to the wide array of systems deployed. They needed a solution to help them reduce annual service costs and increase the performance of their network.

Solution:

Since we are local and have service staff available in the area and have great pricing on all of our offerings, we won a competitive bid against Dell, IBM and Gateway to roll out 800 identical PCs over their 70 locations. We standardized the image on the hard drive, so that all applications and drivers were the same. We accomplished the rollout in 98 days. The job was completed ahead of schedule and exactly on budget.

Outcome:

Frontier Health has reduced its number of helpdesk calls by 50%. It also has increased network speed and is more secure due to the way they update each PC.
