Case Study - Hawkins County Gas

(Total Solution—One Stop Shop)

Problem:

After many years of managing their business with a software package that did not fully meet their needs and having outdated equipment, HCG was looking for a total solution to their problem. The problem was they only found hardware vendors, software vendors and service vendors. They were looking for a true one-stop shop. Not wanting to divide their problem up into slices that different vendors could each have, they continued to wait for a better way of doing business. Then they met Saratoga Technologies, Inc.

Solution:

After extensive discussion, we came to an understanding of exactly how they worked as a business, what their problems were and why they were unhappy with their current situation. We proposed that for a single monthly fee, we would rollout all new equipment, develop a custom utility management software package (now known as SUMS), train their staff on the new system and install, configure and maintain all equipment and software.

Outcome:

They now are using SUMS v2.0 and are increasing productivity everyday. They are reading meters with handheld devices that upload directly into the system and are benefiting from the new equipment that we have installed. They are continuing to work with us in a partnership relationship so that we can bring SUMS to Gas, Electric and Water Utilities nationwide.
